Theocrat age of wonders 3 tech tree9/24/2023 The synergy among Theocrats and High Elves really shines with the high Def Theocrat units! They are moveable walls (look to their design: Tower Shields), especially with Mighty Meek on Crusaders in Defensive Stance and Martyrs and Theocrats can mitigate damage on them (Dmg swap + 35% dmg reduction). To counter Elves, close the gap to take range away from them. Theocrats' groups are high in Res, but do not add Def. Rock, Papers, Scissors all day! I love this game because I could be steam-rolling, then if a favorite unit dies, my loses might cascade, so better fix it quickly! Goblins only got mentioned because they super cheap and easy to field with, despite glaring weaknesses.Įach combo has synergies, and counters. Frostling also got omitted because multi damage channel for crusader is situational. Side note: I omitted dwarf as they require longer time to get to the point where you can spawn a stack of dwarven crusader per turn. What do you guys think? Is a multiracial strat the way to go with High Elf theocrat, where in early game you flood field with archers and sisters, then late game, have storm sisters supplement an army of orc/tigran/human/goblin crusaders? In theory, I think I would have been in more trouble had this hero been a high elf and had progressed the governance tree deeper and then, thanks to the benefits of torch bearer, recruited something with a stronger front line to compensate for lank of front line like human, orc or goblin. He gained 2 cities with high elf at early game and swarmed with many archers and storm sisters who had Healing Ability unlocked from Theocrat, which made his stacks quite tough. ![]() I had a RMG yesterday and I got paired against one of my custom leaders, a human theocrat who had Keepers of Peace Master and Creation Adept.
